A mixed-use boutique apartment and retail complex at the cross-section of Broadway Street and Austin Highway is complete.

Austin-based Cypress Real Estate Advisors developed Magnolia Heights on a 1.46-acre triangular lot at 5500 Broadway St. The mixed-use development has 150 residential units as well as two ground-floor retail tenants now open: fitness studio Pure Barre and Austin-based Westlake Dermatology.

Each unit has high-end amenities, such as stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops and wine fridges.

“It’s upscale, it’s like living in a hotel,” said Ricky De Camps, development manager for Cypress. “The person that we’re targeting wants the convenience of living in a property with valet, all these amenities, and wants to live in Alamo Heights.”

Overland Partners with Good Fulton & Farrell Architects collaborated on the design. GFF was the architect of record and Rampart Construction Co. was the project’s general contractor.

Monthly rents currently listed on Apartments.com range from $1,905 for a 587-square-foot studio to nearly $4,000 for three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

“There’s just been an extreme amount of interest,” De Camps said. “There’s demand for the project.”
